Premise
You walk around the town, looking for someone to party with. Something seems a bit different, but you can't put your finger on it. Perhaps there are more people than you're used to online in the town right now. Or maybe it's the graphics, which seem to have received an update, if only a minor one... Or maybe it was the weird patch of glitching graphics by the pier and the admin standing by the area, warning off any player who tried to approach the glitched graphics. What was going on?
Before you can do anything else, you hear a beep, and a cool, automated voice. "You've got mail!" Was it from a friend? Oh, but your friend's list was wiped... You check the mail anyway, opening your menu and clicking the "Mail" option (it wasn't there before, but whoever added it is a genius!). It seems to be an e-mail from CC Corp, titled "Technical Difficulties in The World R:2".
The contents of the e-mail read:
There was another unopened e-mail on your list. It was untitled. You open that.
It read:
...what? Alright, there was something fishy going on here. But whether or not the mystery would get solved was up to you. Would you pursue it and discover the truth behind The World R:2, or would you ignore it and go about your merry way? Either way, you still had to get your levels back up. And if you were one of the unlucky ones... you were stuck in here, with no way out.
Welcome to The World.

Revision Three is a panfandom half-AU half-jamjar game with some slice-of-life! It is based on the fictional MMO game, The World, from the .hack series, but also borrows elements from Sword Art Online and other MMO-based series. Characters are either pulled from their home into The World or are gamers who play the popular MMO. As time passes, the game begins glitching more and more, forcing characters to solve the mystery behind the glitching.

"Dear player,
A few hours ago, we encountered technical difficulties with our systems, so we apologize to those who have been negatively affected as a result. We are currently working on restoring all lost data, but it may take several days. If you notice any issues or glitches in The World, please report it to an admin, and do not approach it. Once again, we apologize for the inconvenience and ask for your understanding and patience.
Thank you,
CyberConnect Corporation."
