OFFLINE;
Offline Name: Asuna Yuuki
Age: 15 at the start of the arc, 17 at the end; I am going to say she is right in the middle at 16 at R3.
Canon: Sword Art Online; I guess specifically the Aincrad arc, but this is an AU. It's where my icons are from?
Location: I'm going to bend canon and say Asuna's family relocated to San Diego, California just because that seems easier. Her dad works with a large electronics firm that sent him out there, so she came along, as did the rest of her family.

Original History: The SAO wiki has words.
AU History: Here, Asuna's father is not a CEO. He is a high-ranking member of a Japanese electronics firm which has just opened a new plant and research and development lab in San Diego, California. The elder Yuuki is the man who was put in charge of this plant and laboratory; he moved to the United States with a work visa, and brought his family with him.

For her entire life, Asuna has had high expectations placed on her. She is the daughter of two very talented business people and engineers; she went to some of the best schools, and has been expected to apply herself well. She did just that, too. She has never let her parents down; conversely, she's had little life or interests that she can call her own. Her parents directed her life, with the best of intentions.

When she got to San Diego, she had to branch out some. She had to make new friends in school, for one thing, and started to make a few. More than that, though, Asuna started playing The World -- as a way to have fun, to pass some time, and set a few of her own goals. It's a casual hobby, but it's hers.
Appearance: Asuna looks like she does in the anime's first arc.
Personality: Asuna is a very determined young woman. In canon, she is essentially a normal girl who ended up in the middle of a kill-or-be-killed virtual reality game that wasn't so virtual. She managed, after a period of initial freaking out, to decide that she wanted to survive and apply herself to this utterly. This demonstrates this essential core of who Asuna is: she has an inner resolve and hardness that is hard to crack, that can self-motivate her, and can unfortunately make her rather stubborn.

This isn't gone at Revision 3. She's just playing the game for fun, here; she is also not trapped in it. However, that doesn't make her something different. She has that inner reserve of strength; life has never made her tap into it. It will, eventually. She may crumple at first, but she will inevitably find her way forward and keep moving.

She also is stubborn about the game. She wants to do well and prove herself; this is a place where she can apply herself as she sees fit. This means, on the one hand, she's pretty good at it. On the other, she can take it a little too seriously.

However, this mono-focused nature doesn't make Asuna a vicious or cruel person. She might pester someone to do better at their class -- but she also is a newbie, knows what it's like, and tries to help people. At heart, she is a kind and considerate person, who really wants the best for everyone. She tries to be helpful, but the combination of her stubbornness and pride mean that Asuna can be bossy or even unreasonable.

Most of the time, though, Asuna is a good person to just hang out with. She is cheerful and chatty; she doesn't like to keep herself apart from her allies and she needs time to relax sometimes. She might be hard working, but she likes to cook a good meal, chat with someone, and the like. She may hide this sometimes, to keep up her determined tough girl act.

Asuna is quite proud of herself. That determination and self-certainty gives her an ego; she knows she is good at what she does and she knows that. She is one of the best in her world. She lets this go to her head. She can talk down to people sometimes and she can get even more stubborn when she thinks someone isn't listening to her clearly superior knowledge, then overreact, by challenging them and getting aggressive. Asuna can also have her pride insulted, which makes her prickly.

She is a fairly aggressive person. Sometimes, this is good; it's how she rose to the top, plays into her determination, and is how she protects people. However, she can pick fights when she feels affronted. It also means her emotions can get the best of her. She will act hotheaded or snappy when she gets offended. She might even physically lash out, if she gets really angry.

Basically, for all that Asuna acts like the cool, calm, and confident commander, she is a total hothead. She thinks with her heart; it drives why she tries to help and protect people, it drives how she gets offended and angry, and it makes her vulnerable to getting hurt.
Other:Nothing!

ONLINE;
PC Name: Asuna (...yeah, she's pretty new at this)
Race: Human
Class: Adept Rogue (1 point for Blade Brandier, 3 point for Harvest Cleric)
Appearance: Asuna's in-game avatar is a human that looks a lot like her, with two big changes. First, her hair color and eye color are changed to blue. Second, if humans in The World can set it that way, she has pointed ears. I am admittedly not certain if this is possible. If not, she has normal, non-pointed ears but is still painfully blue.
Other: Basically, Asuna did a build that is equal parts fast melee combat using rapiers and healing/support magic via the Harvest Cleric. She is, in short, Battle Healer.

SAMPLES;
First Person: [Asuna's text post goes up over the forums, as she is prone to do. It's immaculate typing, of course; a young woman with her education doesn't type like a fool.]

Good afternoon, everyone! I hope you are well. The glitches appear to be getting worse. Have any of you encountered people who have said strange things?

What comes to mind immediately are individuals claiming they could not choose their classes or that they came from other worlds. I was initially convinced this was a troll. However...

There are enough, and enough with sincerity, that I am beginning to wonder if The World is hosting some sort of event.

Third Person: A fishing contest that Asuna participated in at Dragon Haven. If you'd prefer I write one specifically for R3, I'll gladly do so!
