Name: Your name, of course.
Age: Revision Three is 14+, please make sure you're above this age.
Personal Journal: [personal profile] usernamehere
Contact Info: AIM, Plurk, Email, put in anything and as much as you want

CHARACTER;
Name: Western order please.
Age: If it isn't stated, make an educated guess.
Canon: Be as specific as you can.
Canon Point: This doesn't need to be extremely specific, like page and panel. Just mentioning what events happened right before/after that point is good enough.

History: A link or description of the character's history. For canon OCs, please be as detailed as you can, and note where you have supplied headcanon to fill in what's missing.
Appearance: You may link a picture of them, but write a few sentences noting their clothing style in The World.
Personality: We expect at least three paragraphs, or 300 words minimum.
CRAU: If you are planning to app this character after their experience in another game, please fill in this section and note what major experiences they had and how it changed them. If not, you may erase this section.

Race: Upon entering The World, your character will be converted into either a Human or one of the three beast clans: The Ya Tribe, the Lei Tribe or the Tu Tribe. A small description of the races are here. Please pick one of the four listed and provide a little reasoning: it can be as simple as "My character is human" but for non-intuitive picks (like changing a human to a beast clan member) you may want to provide a longer reason.
Class: Please pick one of classes listed on this page. For Adept Rogues, list the other classes you have chosen, beginning with your starting class. Please also provide a reason for the class you picked. The reason does not need to fit your character.
Abilities: What kind of abilities does your character have? Note that all abilities will start sealed off from the character, but can eventually be added to their skillset using the Original Skill System.
Items: You may list up to 5 starting items, but they are locked from the character until they reach level 15.

Other: Is there anything else you would like to note? Put it here.

SAMPLES;
First Person: This is the format used in the Network community. Actions are in brackets while spoken word or text is not. Minimum length is eight sentences.

You may link a post or thread from a musebox, a meme thread, or a previous games, but make sure they are long enough for the mods to accurately judge your writing.

Third Person: This is for the Log community, and should be written in third person past tense. Here, there is more room for introspection and description. Please make this a minimum of two paragraphs. You may link a sample from elsewhere, but only if your First Person sample was not linked, and vice versa.

CHARACTER;
Name: Rundelhaus Kode
Age: It's never explicitly stated, but he seems to be around 15-16 years old.
Canon: Log Horizon
Canon Point: Soon after he obtains the Magician Gauntlets after his party's expeditions into Lagranda Forest.

History: Rundelhaus was born as the third son of a corrupted noble family in Yamato, making him one of the People of the Land, aka the NPCs that inhabited the world of Elder Tale. He disliked the way his family acted and grew more and more enamoured by the freedom that the Adventurers had, so he eventually left his family and pretended to be an adventurer, taking on the Sorcerer class.

He winds up in Akihabara, one of the major Adventurer cities, and eventually joins a summer training camp made by the Round Table Alliance for lower level Adventurers. The summer camp takes him to the Sand Leaf Peninsula, where he's grouped up with Adventurers Tohya, Minori, Isuzu, and Serara. They, along with a few other groups, are sent to the Lagranda Forest dungeon to learn teamwork and raise their levels.

However, they have difficulties in the dungeon as they're forced to retreat from battles over and over again. Eventually, at Minori's insistence, the group sit down and talk to each other about the details of their moves, and make tactics and plans. With that done, they finally start working properly as a team and progress smoothly through the dungeon, obtaining the Magician Gauntlets, which they give to Rundelhaus, and even beating a powerful monster at the end of the dungeon called Burning Dead.

As this happens, Rundelhaus grows close to Isuzu, who eventually discovers his true identity as a People of the Land when she tries to add him to her friend list and fails. He makes her promise to keep his identity quiet, and the group proceeds like normal. However, their training camp is interrupted when the Event Raid of the Goblin King triggers as a result of the Adventurers' negligence. Both goblins and sahuagins, fish-like creatures, invade the Sand Leaf Peninsula, forcing the newbies and the trainers to defend the nearby town of Choushi.

However, Rundelhaus's group elects to go on the initiative and attack the goblins instead of waiting. This works beautifully as they take out several groups of goblins easily. However, the goblins' number begin to wear on the party and it culminates in an attack on the party by dire wolves and hobgoblins. With the party out of MP and struggling to survive, Rundelhaus decides to sacrifice himself by drawing the dire wolves away from the party and using a self-destructive move on them, eliminating them but at the cost of his life.

The party tries to revive him, but to no avail. Desperate, Minori calls for Log Horizon guild master Shiroe, who directs the party to keep healing and reviving him as he heads over to their location. When he reaches them, he refills Rundelhaus' MP and then revives him as a zombie for three minutes. During those three minutes, he forces Rundelhaus to sign a contract that grants him the subclass of Adventurer and bestows all their abilities, including respawning at the Catherdral after death. He dies and is subsequently revived at the Cathedral. There, Isuzu greets him, having returned to Akihabara using the Call of Home ability, and he promises not be reckless anymore and listen to her.

Appearance: Isn't he fabulous?
In The World, his clothing hasn't changed very much. At most it's gained a few more decorations and belts, and he also has more elaborate boots and gloves.
orboflava: (I'm fabulous aren't I?)

Personality: Rundelhaus comes off as flamboyant and boastful when people first meet him, often due to his frequent self-praising habits. He's quite prone to referring to himself as the great Rundelhaus, and likes to boast about any skills he has. He's also prone to gratuitous English as a part of his flamboyance. At the same time, however, he also seems quite naive or inexperienced, as he doesn't realize his level of 23 makes him pretty much the same as level 21 Minori, nor did he have very much experience with fighting as a team or know that the Sorcerer class didn't fight in the front lines.

The boastful side of him is somewhat of a front though, and once you get to know him, his true side reveals itself quickly. It's natural for him to flourish his accounts and be a little flamboyant, but before he truly got to know the Adventurers, he had amplified that aspect of him, believing that all Adventurers acted that way. But at heart, Rundelhaus is a very hard worker and takes pride in what he can accomplish, given his handicaps compared to Adventurers. Also, unlike what you would have expected from his facade, he is not the type to blame others for his own mistakes. While he may say harsh words when frustrated or upset, he doesn't actually mean them and believes that any failure in battle is due to him not putting in enough training and hard work.

Part of this is because of his nature as a People of the Land, who gain experience at a far slower pace than the Adventurers of Akihabara. He's only pretending to be an Adventurer, but he can't hide the truth to himself, and thus has a bit of an inferiority complex about it. So he does everything else he can to cover up that part and hide it from others, which includes his flamboyance and his effort to appear as if he knows everything, but train in secret whenever he can.

Rundelhaus is a very kind-hearted person. His wish to become an Adventurer is because he wants their power to help those cannot help themselves. He never berates or puts down others for their mistakes or failures either, usually choosing to cheer them up with praise and reassurance instead. He is also as loyal as, well, a golden retriever, as compared by one of his party members. His loyalty is so deep he would go as far as to willingly sacrifice himself to save his Adventurer friends, whom he knew could revive while he could not. This also proves he's fairly reckless, which when combined with his inexperience sometimes lands him in hot water. But he truly means good and really wants to help wherever he can.

Rundelhaus might appear to be flamboyant and arrogant, but unlike what you might expect from a person like that, he's not quick to blame others, and in fact works hard so he can help everyone around him. He's really much like a golden retriever, who are loyal and provide cheer to everyone around them. But as a party member or a friend, he's invaluable to have around.

Race: Human - He's human.
Class: Shadow Warlock. Originally in his world, his class was Sorcerer, and Shadow Warlock is the most similar to a Sorcerer.

Abilities: As a sorcerer class, Rundelhaus has a number of magic spells at his disposal. Below are the ones he's been shown to use. A majority of them are rather self-explanatory.
• Blizzard
• Flash Needles
• Freezing Wind
• Frozen Blade
• Icicle Ripper
• Lightning Cage
• Magic Light - This non-attacking spell is a standard of magic-using classes. It provides light around the area to allow the spellcaster and their party to see in dark areas.
• Orb of Lava - Rundelhaus's favourite spell. This fire spell has a 2 second cast time and a cooldown of 18 seconds, making it a fairly quick spell to recast. However, its high damage output and flashiness often draw attention to the caster.
• Serpent Bolt
Items:
Magician Gauntlets [Level 25: boosts the damage of magical attacks]
Apprentice Magician Robes [A high quality equipment for its level, but limited to users below level 30. It is an exclusive accessory for beginners.]
Feather Ring [Reduces the weight of items you are carrying and increases the amount you can carry. Other accessories are more effective in increasing arm strength and carrying capacity, resulting in this item being sold cheaply in the market, it is very affordable for beginners.]
Angel Brush [A magical brush that makes any hair or fur shiny and smooth. It's mainly used to increase trust and affection levels of mounts and pets, but Rundelhaus has no clue and loves to use it.]

SAMPLES;
First Person: Test Drive 1 | Test Drive 2

Third Person: Well, this wasn't the first time he'd somehow gotten himself separated from his party. He would have thought, after the long talk he had had with his party at home, he would be an expert at working with others, but it didn't seem like the others wanted to cooperate. In fact, this particular party outright laughed at him for trying to get to know their abilities better, but his pride and wish to train didn't let him back down and leave them to search for better party members.

Well, look where that got him now. They were laughing at him from a couple of metres away while he was surrounded by monsters, and doing absolutely nothing to help him. Even the Harvest Cleric, who had seemed far nicer than the others was not healing him and was instead betting on how much longer he'd last with the amount of HP and MP he had left. He gritted his teeth and his eyes flickered to his status screen, which was floating in his peripheral vision. He only had amount twenty percent of his health left, and he had enough MP for only one more spell. It really wasn't looking good for him.

But this was a different world. It wasn't like Yamato, where he knew he would die for good if he was downed in battle. And yet, he couldn't stop his hands from shaking, and his thoughts from wandering into 'what ifs'. What if this world was exactly like Yamato, and he would die for good here too, just because of who he was? The dread in his stomach grew as the monsters surrounding him continued to whittle his health down until finally he had only 10 HP left. One more hit would do him in. And still, his party members didn't help him.

Rundelhaus wanted to scream in fear, but he knew it would do no good. They would just laugh at him. But he couldn't just accept his death here! He had to get stronger, more powerful, so he could help people when they were in need! He hardened his resolve and reassured himself that he would get out of this somehow, but at that moment a goblin attacked him from behind, taking away the last of his HP and forcing him to crumple to the ground, defeated. This was the end, if it was like Yamato... but as his consciousness faded, Rundelhaus hoped that wouldn't be the case.
