Personal Journal: [personal profile] usernamehere
Contact Info: AIM, Plurk, Email, put in anything and as much as you want
Other Characters: If you are already playing characters in Revision Three, please name them here. If this is your first character, you can erase this

OFFLINE;
Offline Name: The is the name your character uses when not in The World R:3. Western order please.
Age: If it isn't stated, make an educated guess.
Canon: Be as specific as you can.
Location: Where does your character live offline? If you wish to stick with the default (San Diego, California), then you may leave this section blank.

Original History: A link or description of the character's original history. It does not need to be extremely detailed unless you are applying for a canon OC. In this case, please be as detailed as you can, and note where you have supplied headcanon to fill in what's missing.
AU History: Please describe how you have modified this character's original history to fit the world of Revision Three. Include all relations the character has. If you're not sure what your character should know in regards to .hack, there is an answer for that in the FAQ.
Appearance: You may choose between letting your character keep their original appearance or give them a plainer appearance. In the former case, a picture of the character is sufficient, but in the latter case you should make a basic description of their appearance.
Personality: We expect at least three paragraphs, or 300 words minimum. If there are modifications to the character's personality as a result of being AU'd, make note of it here and explain it to the best of your ability.
Other: Is there anything else you would like to note? Put it here.

ONLINE INFORMATION;
Note that you are only allowed to have one PC right now. If you wish to give your character more PCs, you must ask a mod.

PC Name: The name of your character's player character.
Race: You may pick between Human or one of the three beast clans: The Ya Tribe, the Lei Tribe or the Tu Tribe. A small description of the races are here. Provide a little reasoning: it can be as simple as "My character is human in OU."
Class: Please pick one of classes listed on this page. For Adept Rogues, list the other classes you have chosen, beginning with your starting class. Please also provide a reason for the class you picked. The reason should be something your character would give if they were asked why they picked that class.
Appearance: This does not have to be very detailed. Make note of facial characteristics, and the general style of clothing. You may also provide pictures.
Other: Is there anything else you would like to note? Put it here.

SAMPLES;
First Person: This is the format used in the Network community. Actions are in brackets while spoken word or text is not. Minimum length is eight sentences.

You may link a post or thread from a musebox, a meme thread, or a previous games, but make sure they are long enough for the mods to accurately judge your writing.

Third Person: This is for the Log community, and should be written in third person past tense. Here, there is more room for introspection and description. Please make this a minimum of two paragraphs. You may link a sample from elsewhere, but only if your First Person sample was not linked, and vice versa.

another datawipe victim here.
you know, I was insanely pissed off at first. I mean, who could blame me?
after all the time I sunk into this game, it'd take more than an APOLOGY to make up for this.
but then I thought about it some more, and I realized it doesn't matter!
sitting on the top gets boring after a while, you know?
well, obviously most of YOU don't, but you get what I'm saying here, right?
if there's nowhere to go, things get dull. thinking about it like that, I was probably going to lose interest in this game soon ANYWAY.
at least this gives me something to work toward.

so, good job, I guess.
a hard reset was JUST the thing needed to keep MY patronage.
of course, that doesn't make up for the HILARIOUS incompetence involved in the mistake happening in the first place, but I'm not sure much can.
someone's getting fired, that's all I've got to say.

[Yeah, that's right, take that! He totally doesn't care!!!!]

(Additionally: An old intro post, and the finest example of IC roleplaying I can offer you.)

Third Person:
( recycled from [community profile] rubycity_rp — will write an AU-specific one upon request! )

Footsteps echoed inside the stairwell of a battered watchtower, but for as sharp as the sound was, it was also light. Certainly, these weren't steps with the weight of an adult behind them. Instead, an eight-year-old child, scrawny even for his age, stomped toward the lookout point, bounding up the steps two at a time. Shinji Matou might not have been used to so much physical activity, but he was at least tenacious.

If he wanted to figure out what to do about this situation, he knew he needed a good vantage point from which to observe it. So, when he reached the final stair, he didn't hesitate to throw open the doors to the top with all the force his tiny, atrophied arms could muster. The view might have been beautiful, but that wasn't something he cared much about. Instead, his eyes were drawn to the sky.

It looked just like any other sky—or any other sky in the real world, at least. That didn't prove of disprove much of anything, though. Even if there were a number of idiosyncrasies unique the Moon Cell, the surroundings during the prelims had looked—and felt—no different than the outside world. If there was one compliment Shinji had for it, it was the Moon Cell's ability to create strikingly realistic stimuli. He could still remember the feeling of his limbs blackening and fading away...

"Heh—hahaha..."

Right. His "death." He had been so scared, but in the end, it must have been some big joke. After all, he was standing here alive, wasn't he? He wished Rider were here so he could laugh in her face about how wrong she had been, but he supposed she really must have been deleted forever. For a split second, the thought almost made him sad.

Well, whatever. He dug into the pockets of his pants and pulled out what had been stashed there: a pack of twinkies he had snatched from one of the stores he had passed, and the strange "watch" he had found upon his arrival. Tearing open the former with his teeth, he took a hearty bite as he flipped open the communicator and began to fiddle with it. For someone like him, figuring this out would be no problem at all...
