✢ Characters can log out of The World. ✢ Characters can have multiple PCs. ✢ Characters may have a bad internet connection and lag or drop from The World completely. ✢ Characters' PCs do not need to look like them. ✢ PCs are limited by typical game restrictions such as invisible walls; they are unable to interact with anything the game does not allow them to. ✢ PCs have a bit of a stiffer expression on their face, and may make repetitive motions when idling or talking. ✢ PC death is a simple fainting; they will never suffer massive injuries appearance wise. |
✢ Characters cannot log out of The World. ✢ Their real body is in The World; thus they are required to take care of bodily needs. ✢ Characters will look like themselves (sans a race change and clothing changes) ✢ Characters can fully interact with objects in The World and are not restricted by invisible walls or the like. ✢ Characters have full control over their body, so they will appear vibrant and full of energy compared to AU characters. ✢ Their death will appear very real, and injuries sustained will appear and stay on the body unless healed. ✢ Jamjars may be mistaken for Vagrant AIs by system administrators or other players. |

"Twin Blades have high agility and attack with two short swords. Their rapid attacks leave no opening for an opponent to counterattack."Twin Blades are rapid attackers, able to chain moves in rapid succession to prevent enemies from counterattacking. To maintain their agility, Twin Blades can only wear light armors, which provide an even amount of physical and magical defense. Their favoured weapon is the Dual Blade, which are short, light blades that allow for easy maneuvering. Of the physical attack classes, they rank as having the weakest attack power, but the highest agility.— The World R:2 Official Site. —
"Blade Brandiers fight with a sword similar to a katana. It is said that all warrior classes derive from this class. Although their abilities are average, they can adapt to a wide variety of situations."Blade Brandier is the typical sword-wielding class of MMORPGs. Their favoured weapons are one-handed blades, medium sized swords, or katanas. Blade Brandiers are slower than Twin Blades in agility and hit rate, but are stronger, though not as strong as the heavy hitting classes like Edge Punishers. This provides a balance between speed and power. Like Twin Blades, Blade Brandiers also wear light armors to allow them to be quick on their feet.— The World R:2 Official Site. —
"Edge Punishers are a job class that prefers to wield giant swords. A blow from one of these weapons has enormous power. It can slice most enemies in half with a single strike."Edge Punishers are one of the most powerful, if not the most powerful class in The World. They use two-handed broadswords to deal massive damage against enemies. Edge Punishers also equip heavy armors, which sacrifice magical defense for physical defense, making the class good at both dishing and taking physical attacks. The biggest downside to Edge Punishers is their lack of speed and agility, which allows quicker classes like Twin Blades and Blade Brandiers to deal more hits in the same time frame.— The World R:2 Official Site. —
"Tribal Grapplers use their own fists as weapons. They have high agility similar to Twin Blades and possess high HP. However, their low defense value makes it crucial to pay attention in battle."Tribal Grapplers are specialized close combat attackers. This class wears gauntlets and uses their own fists to attack enemies. Like Twin Blades, Tribal Grapplers have a high attack rate, letting them chain attacks easily. They also benefit from having high HP, allowing them to take a few hits while setting up an opportunity to chain their attacks. However, they have low defense as well, making it important for them to be alert during battle at all times to prevent unnecessary damage. Tribal Grapplers wear light armor, like Twin Blades.— The World R:2 Official Site. —
"The Flick Reaper specializes in attacks meant to keep multiple enemies away. However, they are ineffective at long range."Flick Reapers are the mid-range, sweeping specialists of The World. Their attacks are area-wide, allowing them to push multiple enemies away from themselves and preventing enemies from attacking them. However, Flick Reapers do not have the ability to deal with long range attackers, so they can be overpowered by spells or long-range attacks. Flick Reapers favour axes and scythes, and wear heavy armor.— The World R:2 Official Site. —
"Lord Partizans wield a giant lance. No other class can match its piercing power. They have high defensive power compared to other classes, but are weaker against magic."Lord Partizans are the ideal tanks of The World. They boast high physical attack and defense, and use lances, which have a medium range and pierce enemy armor. They also wear heavy armor, which has high physical defense, further allowing them to bear the brunt of attacks for the party. Many of their attacks are geared towards fighting monsters, making them great party members for level grinding. However, Lord Partizans have very poor magical defense, so any good shot from a mage could do them in.— The World R:2 Official Site. —
"They specialize in long-range attack and are weak against close encounters, but if necessary their guns can be used as powerful melee weapons which keep most enemies away."As their name implies, Steam Gunners use steam-powered rifles as their weapon of choice, making them the long range specialist of The World. Of all physical attacking classes, they have the greatest range and their many skills are focused on dealing damage from afar. They also have bayonets on their rifles, so they are not entirely defenseless if an enemy manages to engage in close combat with the Steam Gunner. However, it's best to have them attacking from afar, as they deal little damage in close combat. Steam Gunners wear light armor.— The World R:2 Official Site. —
"Shadow Warlocks are experts in attack magic and are allied with the dark spirits. They always carry a book of spells known as a Grimoire to heighten their magic power. Although they can use some healing magic, their repertoire is limited and not very efficient."Shadow Warlock is the attacking mage class of The World. While they have a few healing spells in their repertoire, the main focus of a Shadow Warlock is to deal magical damage with their brutal elemental spells. Shadow Warlocks also have a small selection of status afflicting spells, which can be used to greatly hamper the enemy's attack. This class prefers Grimoires, which deal extremely little physical damage, and like all magical classes, Shadow Warlocks wear robes, which have high magical defense in return for poor physical defense.— The World R:2 Official Site. —
"Harvest Clerics are experts in healing magic and are allied with the light spirits. They wield a staff in battle in the name of Eir, the Goddess of Tranquility. They can use some attack magic after they reach a certain level, but most concentrate on healing and support magic."No MMORPG would be complete without a healer-type class, which the Harvest Cleric fills. They have an extremely large repertoire of healing magic and status curing magic, but can also boost their party's stats to increase their combat prowess. Similar Shadow Warlocks, Harvest Clerics have a few attack spells for supporting the party when healing is not needed. This magical class wears robes for increased magical defense, and wields staves, which are stronger than grimoires but not by much.— The World R:2 Official Site. —
"Macabre Dancers are experts at status and ability magic. Since they are allied with both the light and dark spirits, they are proficient in healing and attack magic. They hold large fans in both hands during battle. Their dancing form is said to enchant those who watch."Macabre Dancers are the mages that deal with status boosters and afflictors. They have a wide range of spells can can deal status afflictions on enemies and heal allies of their ailments, as well as boost stats and lower them in enemies. To round off their selection of spells, Macabre Dancers have a fair amount of healing and attack spells, though they never attain the greatest of either. Macabre Dancers use fans as their favoured weapon, and also wear robes, as they are a magical class.— The World R:2 Official Site. —
"Adept Rogues are eventually capable to equip various weapons and use various magic. However, each weapon must be learned separately and require items, but the training will eventually pay off making them highly adaptable in any situation."Adept Rogues are a unique class. They do not have inherent abilities or techniques unique to the class. Instead, Adept Rogues are able to adopt multiple classes at the expense of slower growth (which is reflected in the leveling system of Revision Three). Because of that, this class is often considered the jack-of-all-trades and master-of-none, making it a somewhat unpopular class to play.— The World R:2 Official Site. —
Network/BBS [Action, Video, Audio, Text, BBS]
[Here is the narration for an action, video or audio post. The "camera" used for these posts is easily adjustable and is not held by the character, so it can be as close or far as you want it to be, and have weird angles and whatnot. You need not write down a character's thoughts, just what they do or what can be seen from the camera. It is possible to have accidental video/audio as characters can set shortcuts to the network's functions.]
This is where the words your character actually speaks is. This includes anything not intended for the camera, or mumbling. Pretty straight forward.
Generally text and BBS posts will use a different font, like this. This is not necessary, but it makes the distinction between text and spoken words much clearer for other players. You are welcome to write with improper grammar and use emoticons and the like in text. The code for this type of text is < font face="courier" >, minus the spaces. Don't forget to add a < / font> at the end of the text if there's more to follow.
Log
Who: Put a list of the characters involved in the log. If the log is "open" this means that anyone is free to join.
When: Straightforward. The general time and date of the log's occurrence. Logs can be backdated.
Where: The location of the log's occurrence. Logs are split into two categories: online and real life, since AU characters will be allowed to meet up outside of The World.
Rating: The ratings are G, PG, PG-13, R, NC-17. Anything R and above should be friend-locked. If you're unsure of the meaning of these ratings, here is a definition of each rating.
Summary: A quick explanation of what is occurring in the log. One to two sentences is enough.
(Cut to the log!)
Logs are written in prose writing, like you were reading it out of a novel. Include the character's thoughts, feelings, actions, and any other relevant thing. Make sure to write it so that those responding to the log have something to latch onto when they reply. Logs must be written in third person, past tense.
✢ A post, network or log.If you do not have the required proofs, you may comment on the check with a strike. Players with a strike are required to meet double AC for the next month in order to stay in the game. If players do not comment on the activity check at all, they will be removed from the game. Players who idle out this way must wait a month before applying with the same character again. If idling becomes an issue with the player, we reserve the right to refuse future applications based on that knowledge.
✢ A network thread with at least 15 comments from your character. You may use up to three threads to meet the number requirement.
